Creamy Slow Cooker Crack Chicken is made with tender shredded chicken, cream cheese, ranch seasoning, freshly shredded sharp cheddar, crispy bacon, and green onions. Serve it on toasted buns, baked potatoes, crackers, slider rolls, wraps, or enjoy it as a warm party dip.

Ingredients

  • 2.5 pounds boneless, skinless chicken breasts, thawed
  • 1 (8 oz) block cream cheese
  • 1 (1 oz) packet (3 TBSP) ranch seasoning mix
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • 1 (8 oz) block sharp cheddar cheese, freshly shredded
  • 8 slices bacon, cooked crisp and crumbled
  • ¼ cup sliced green onions

Instructions

  1. Lightly grease the slow cooker.
  2. Place the chicken breasts in the bottom.
  3. Sprinkle with ranch seasoning, garlic powder, onion powder, and black pepper.
  4. Place the cream cheese on top.
  5. Cover and cook on LOW for 6–7 hours or HIGH for 3–4 hours.
  6. Shred the chicken directly in the slow cooker.
  7. Stir until the cream cheese is completely incorporated.
  8. Stir in the freshly shredded cheddar until melted.
  9. Fold in the bacon and green onions.
  10. Serve warm with your favorite serving option.

Notes

  • Freshly shredded cheese melts much smoother than pre-shredded cheese.
  • For food safety, use thawed chicken in the slow cooker.
  • If the mixture becomes too thick, stir in a splash of milk.
  • Add the bacon after cooking so it stays crisp.
