This easy Avocado Ranch Dressing is creamy, tangy, and made with ripe avocado, Greek yogurt, ranch seasoning mix, and fresh lime juice. Blend it together in just 5 minutes for a homemade dressing that’s also delicious as a sauce or dip.

Ingredients

  • 1 ripe avocado
  • ½ cup plain Greek yogurt
  • 3 cloves fresh garlic (about 1 tablespoon minced)
  • 1½ tablespoons ranch seasoning mix
  • 2 tablespoons fresh lime juice
  • ¼ cup milk, plus more as needed to thin

Instructions

  1. Cut the avocado in half, remove the pit, and scoop the flesh into a blender or food processor.
  2. Add the Greek yogurt, ranch seasoning mix, garlic, lime juice, and ¼ cup milk.
  3. Blend until smooth and creamy, scraping down the sides as needed.
  4. For a thinner, pourable dressing, add additional milk 1 tablespoon at a time and blend until it reaches your desired consistency.
  5. Taste and add a little more lime juice or ranch seasoning if desired.
  6. Serve immediately or refrigerate until ready to use.

Notes

Adjust the consistency: Keep the dressing thicker to use it as a dip or sauce. Add additional milk to make it thinner and more pourable for salads.

Ranch seasoning: This recipe uses dry ranch seasoning mix, not prepared ranch dressing.

Greek yogurt: Plain Greek yogurt gives the dressing a thick, creamy consistency. Regular plain yogurt can also be used, but you may need less milk.

Lime juice: Fresh lime juice gives the dressing a bright flavor and helps slow the avocado from browning.

Optional cilantro: For a cilantro avocado ranch dressing, blend in about ¼ cup fresh cilantro.

Storage: Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 2–3 days. The dressing may darken slightly as the avocado oxidizes; stir well before serving.
