This homemade Cajun seasoning mix is bold, smoky, and perfectly balanced with just the right amount of heat. Made with simple pantry spices, this easy blend is perfect for chicken, shrimp, vegetables, pasta, and more.

Ingredients

  • 3 TBSP paprika
  • 2 TBSP garlic powder
  • 2 TBSP Italian seasoning
  • 2 TBSP salt (optional)
  • 1 TBSP onion powder
  • 2 tsp cayenne pepper
  • 2 tsp dried thyme

Instructions

  1. Add all spices to a medium mixing bowl.
  2. Whisk thoroughly until evenly combined.
  3. Transfer to an airtight jar or spice container.
  4. Store in a cool, dry place.

Notes

  • Adjust cayenne for more or less heat.

  • If using on already salted foods, reduce or omit the salt.

  • For deeper flavor, allow the seasoning to rest 24 hours before using.

  • Store in an airtight container for up to 6 months.
