This homemade buttermilk ranch seasoning mix is creamy, tangy, and packed with classic ranch flavor. Perfect for making ranch dressing, ranch dip, or seasoning chicken, potatoes, and vegetables. A simple pantry staple made from scratch.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup buttermilk powder
  • 1/2 cup dried parsley
  • 2 tablespoons onion powder
  • 2 tablespoons garlic powder
  • 2 teaspoons dried dill
  • 2 teaspoons dried chives
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper

Instructions

  1. Add all ingredients to a medium mixing bowl.
  2. Whisk thoroughly until evenly combined.
  3. Transfer to an airtight spice jar or container.
  4. Store in a cool, dry place for up to 6 months.

Notes

To Make Ranch Dressing:
Whisk together 2 tablespoons seasoning mix, 1 cup mayonnaise, and 1 cup milk. Chill 30–60 minutes before serving.

To Make Ranch Dip:
Mix 2 tablespoons seasoning mix with 1 cup sour cream. Refrigerate 30 minutes before serving.
