These buffalo chicken back ranch street tacos are loaded with saucy, buttery buffalo chicken, a creamy ranch slaw, crumbled bacon, pico de Gallo, and a drizzle of ranch. Made with simple ingredients and ready in minutes, they’re perfect for easy weeknight dinners, game day, or a quick family meal.

Ingredients

Buffalo Chicken

  • 3 tablespoons butter
  • 1/2 cup buffalo sauce or hot sauce
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic salt (or 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder for a lower-salt option)
  • 1 pound cooked chicken (breaded chicken, rotisserie chicken, or  use my buffalo chicken base)
  • 1/2 cup QUALITY ranch (I love this Greek Yogurt Ranch)
  • 1 cup angel hair slaw
  • Soft Taco tortillas
  • Salt and Pepper to Taste
  • 1/2 pound Crumbled Bacon (adjust to preference)

Optional Toppings

  • Feta cheese, for sprinkling
  • Pico de gallo
  • sliced avocado
  • fresh cilantro

Instructions

  1. Melt butter in a microwave safe bowl. Stir in buffalo sauce and garlic salt (or garlic powder).
  2. Add cooked chicken and toss until fully coated in the sauce.
  3. In a separate bowl, mix the ranch, pico, (if using) and angel hair slaw until evenly coated.
  4. Cook bacon in air fryer or other preferred method. Let cool and crumble.
  5. Warm tortillas.
  6. Assemble tacos by adding buffalo chicken, the saucy slaw & pico mix, crumbled bacon, feta cheese, and any additional preferred toppings.
  7. Drizzle lightly with ranch.
  8. Season with salt and pepper to taste and serve immediately.

Notes

Breaded chicken gives these tacos extra texture and a “street taco meets game day” feel.

Rotisserie chicken is a quick shortcut for busy nights.

This recipe also works well with homemade Instant Pot buffalo chicken for an easy prep option.

Adjust heat level by choosing mild or hot buffalo sauce.

You can also add fresh sliced avocado & fresh cilantro for even more flavor in every bite!
